Additional notes: Spanish is his native language. Speaks German, French, and English with only a slight accent. He possess the Enhancement Legions
Equipment: Wears a reinforced flight suit and reinforced clothing when not in the air. At times he is accompanied by a pair of very well trained hunting falcons.
Appearance/Clothing Tendencies: Slim and trim with a long time fencer's build. Armando cuts a very dashing figure with his dark hair and dark eyes and his dueling scars. He can wear anything and make it look good. He is partial to tailored suits (filled with pockets for hidden weapons) people assume that he's royalty or a movie star or something.
House, Circle,  Influence: Has a force of about 30 battle hardened pilots who would follow him into the mouth of hell itself and a large household of servitors in Spain. He also has a few people scattered around Europe who maintain his network of safe houses and caches. The Spanish government is terrified of him and refuses to even try to dislodge him. Armando reciprocates this relationship by not concentrating on looting and pillaging his homeland.
What has gone Before: Intelligent people know that the Orzaiz family fortune was founded on piracy. Wise people keep their mouth shut about it. Don Armando Orzaiz has followed in the tradition of his forefathers. Charitably they could have been called privateers. Not so charitably, they could have been called cut-throats and thieves.
Much of Armando's early life was shaped by sailing. He worked on his father's ship and during the evenings he would be schooled by kidnapped tutors. When he was old enough he was packed off to university in Germany to learn as much as he could and polish his already prodigious fencing skills. it was here that he saw planes for the first and fell in love. Armando needs the wind in his hair.
Piracy is an evolving business and Armando realized that Aeroplanes were the wave of the future. As such, he schooled himself in their use and hungrily looked for each advancement in the field he could discover. He schooled his men in piloting and aerobatic maneuvers and they've managed to pull off daring raids on cargo and passenger planes in flight!
Naturally, this has caused him to run afoul of both Jake Stefokowski AND Baron Zorbo. Armando respects Stefokowski for flying ability but considers him a bumpkin boy scout with no real understanding of how the world works. Zorbo, he hates with a purple blazing passion (it's mutual) because he considers him merely a talented technician and not a real pilot at all...plus he's insane.
Armando is a Pirate (albeit a very classy one) he doesn't have Jake's morals or Zorbo's misguided altruism. On occasion though, he has allied himself with do-gooders if the cause would further Spanish interests, If he was attracted to a female P.C. or if it would stick a spoke in Zorbo's landing gear. He might even leave you with your goods and chattels intact if he liked you or you were at least polite.
If Armando has a weakness at all it's for the fairer sex and while he'll probably never settle down, he can come off as a romantic and dashing figure. He swears he has never hit a woman (This is false but he was always defending himself from a combat capable woman who sought to press that advantage.) Sadly, Armando doesn't believe in the concept of fidelity and since he's such a charmer he often lies to avoid hurting the feelings of the ladies involved.
While Armando does not possess the raw technical might that Zorbo possesses, he doesn't do too badly for himself. he has a large collection of planes of various types (also boats and cars and trucks....) His favorite plane to work with is still a single prop engine that he's bulletproofed but he can fly nearly anything. he also possesses a luxury passenger plane that he stole from an airline while it was in flight.
Armando finds killing distasteful and does it only when absolutely necessary, when pressed or when enraged.

Story Uses
Unscheduled Detour: The players are on some plane going someplace in Europe and all of a sudden the plane is fired upon by pirates. The men leap from fast single props and walk the wings until they've breached the door and then begin looting the passengers. A belaying line in clipped to the airframe and cargo goes sliding down the line. Then a pilot takes over the controls of the plane. and pirates begin off-loading parachutes onto the plane. At gun point, the pirates force the passengers to put on the parachutes and shove them out one at a time. (unless stopped of course.) If Armando takes a shine to a female character or a female NPC on board. He'll off-load her to his private plane (again, unless stopped.)

The Enemy of my Enemy: The Players run into Armando while he's in the middle of some business. If the players are currently pursuing or causing trouble for Baron Zorbo, he will look at them astonished and say.... " Oh....Well!  why didn't you say so? Rafael! Render these people all my assistance. Good luck in your endeavors!"

Competitive streak: Armando likes most people and subscribes to his own skewed code of honor so at best he will consider the player characters a group of friendly rivals. he isn't scared of prison or death and he does enjoy playing little games with those he respects but doesn't share the morality of. He might seduce your girlfriend just to see if he can do so...He'll be honestly puzzled if you get enraged over this. After all, if she were true to you...then she wouldn't have let him do what he did, right?

Additional notes: Original language is Rroma, can speak French and English but cannot read in either language
Equipment: When working, carries two tiny derringers, 8 matched pairs of throwing knives and her working clothes are reinforced with a housebreaker harness and a fanny pack for tools and picks and the like.
Appearance/Clothing Tendencies: Has the ability to make burlap look good but opts mostly for satin and silk when not working. Is short limbed and has long black hair which she ties away from her face and dark gypsy eyes. Melba has the musculature of a gymnast. She is utterly unintimidating unless you see her wield her knives.
House, Circle, Influence: Has a better Contacts score than Le Confectioneer because other criminals know she is the more level headed of the pair. Ally is Gield of course, Has a decent reputation as a capable and professional cat burglar which she parley's into occasional side jobs.Usually ends up doing the work of fencing the goods from those scores that go right. Has salted away quite a bit of cash against the day when it all goes sour and she needs to disappear.
What has gone Before: Zamora was a young gyspy girl living in the slums of Monmartre when Gield met her. He had need of a young girl who was limber enough to fit inside a particular cake. Through his Contedorri contacts he located the young cat burglar and took her under his wing.
Was it love at first sight? Their relationship is a constant rollercoaster of fighting, cheating, jealousy, vindictiveness, and angry sex. It must be love. Sane people would have walked away from one another long ago.
When not having some sort of ugly scene, Gield and Zamora cut quite a figure as a couple. They indulge in all night binges of dancing, absinthe, and debauchery.
Story Uses
The Original Bad Girl: Sharp, Sexy, lithe as a snake and just as fast, morally flexable and double jointed, what's not to love? The only thing that can move Le Confectioneer to a homicidal psychotic rage is the thought that Zamora has been cuddling with someone else. So she might just cuddle with you just to provoke him. (She loves it when he's jealous.)

The Dangerous One: While Gield is no stranger to murder, it is not his primary goal in any caper. Zamora is much more cold blooded and will do anything to avoid capture including murdering innocent bystanders...unless she's stopped.

Additonal notes:Gield's native language is French. He can speak and read english. Possesses Ability mastery in Science (chemistry) and Arts (Cooking) Also posseses the Background enhancement Stockpile.
Equipment: When on the job, Geild wears a heavy quilted chef coat and toque which are reinforced clothing. He also carries a bewildering array of edible weaponry. In a pinch, He might be capable of mayhem with a chef's knife or cleaver
Appearance/Clothing Tendencies: A portly man in his late 30's with a swarthy appearance. He has dark brown eyes and black hair. He wears a neatly trimmed mustache and goatee. his hair is cropped very close and is entirely gone on top of his head. When not out committing crimes, Gield can cut quite the figure of sartorial perfection that only a Frenchman can seem to manage.
House, Circle, Influence: Most of the criminal community thinks that Gield is a total nutjob. but they can't help but admit that he's kind of sharp and he pays well when he needs extra muscle. His main sway is over his underlings Melba Peach (an inspired cat burglar and martial artist who is his girlfriend/muse/source of tension) and his two goons Sweet-tooth and Buzz. Interestingly enough, he has become sort of a celebrity among higher powered villains who have had him cook for them. Lady DeWinter still raves about the desert he named after her and even the Ubiquitous Dragon has commented on his command of Asian treats. Gield occasionally parleys this notoriety into small favors.
What has gone Before: Gield Montagne is without a doubt a culinary genius. He is also a severe head case. Always highly strung, he went to one of the most exclusive cooking schools in France at a very young age. He was a legacy they had to take him. His father was a legendary chef.
Sadly, Gield was completely indifferent to culinary excellence. Homesickness, hatred of his peers, and low marks combined to make his life a living hell. He began to eat...a lot.
Gield had a professor that had taken an instant dislike to him and who had taken to berating him and treating him badly. one day while Gield was working on a project for his class just before Christmas, this professor came into the kitchen to find him working on some hard candies which were cooling on the shelf. The Chef sampled some and nearly broke a tooth on one of the candy canes. he began loudly berating Gield until he finally snapped. Taking up one of the candy canes he beat the chef to death with it. 6 minutes later, Gield had consumed the murder weapon and had left the kitchen never to return.
He dropped out of sight for a few years and when he reappeared in America he had become something of a culinary celebrity. he even cooked for the president once. But this celebrity was short-lived. His experimentations into the food-making arts had become more devious and depraved and they required constant cash for upkeep.
His criminal activities were unearthed by Branch 9 and he was forced to go underground again. When he reappeared he was Le Confectioneer. The Candy Maker of Crime.
Gield's general M.O. is to commit crimes with gimmicky sweets. Since he's not altogether great at it, the fact that his entire arsenal can be eaten has confounded more than one district attorney. he has perfected a method of making hard candy that is as hard as case hardened steel until it comes into contact with saliva. He's sculpted weapons out Chocolate and he's even created a number of unusual compounds for use with his Custard cannon and his rotary powered Pastry Snoot. He has Kitchen/Lab which is very well stocked with all the necessary materials for his mad experiments and also possesses a large panel truck. One of his most daring crimes involved a Bombe Glasee that was an actual explosive.
More than one operation has involved Melba leaping out of a cake of his exquisite design. if only he had turned his talents to good instead of evil. Epicures of the world would rejoice.

Story Uses
The Loon: Oh sure, he's crazy but not without a certain low animal cunning. Players should not be allowed to simply slam dunk Gield just because he's short, fat, annoying and French. Gield's schemes work mainly because they are so left field nobody sees them coming. Nobody expects the exploding cake. Knives and guns made of chocolate slip effortlessly through metal detectors. Gield can also poison people with completely untraceable combinations of spices. Finally, While Gield is not a martial artist of any sort he is absolutely deadly in a kitchen. In any operation he plans, the escape route is always the kitchen.

The Maniac: Chefs are famously high-strung and egomaniacal. What will the players do when the European Culinary Association condemns Geild publicly for his crimes? What will they do when famous chefs of Europe start turning up dead? Flambeed? Fricaseed? Spitted and Roasted? Locked in a walk in freezer? Locked in a walk-in pastry oven? How will the players stop this horrific cooking crisis?

The Contact: PC's might need to know someone in the criminal world. Of all of these, perhaps Geild is one of the few that is harmless enough to approach for advice about things in the criminal world.
